David F. Nartker
OTTAWA - David F. Nartker, 65, of Ottawa, died 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born May 9, 1951 in Lima to the late Camillus and Catherine (Utrup) Nartker. On October 5, 1974, he married Ruth M. Kuhlman who died May 9, 2011.
David is survived by three children: Al (Kristy) Nartker of Continental, Jon (Traci) Nartker and Vickie (Kyle) Inkrott both of Ottawa; seven grandchildren: Isabelle Nartker, Elijah Nartker, Oliver Nartker, Amelia Nartker, Ellery Nartker, Pierce Inkrott and Graham Inkrott; two sisters: Dianne (Jim) Baker of Defiance and Karen (Carl) Schroeder of Glandorf. With special thanks, to his sweetheart, Karen Warnimont of Miller City for her exceptional love and care.
He retired from General Motors in Defiance and worked at NW Tractor in Glandorf. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, Ottawa Knights of Columbus, Ottawa Eagles, Miller City Sportsman's Club and the US Army National Guard. He loved fishing as well as collecting and repairing antique tractors.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where there will be a scripture service at 1:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland with visitation one hour prior to the mass at the church. Fr. Stephen Schroeder will officiate. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Putnam County Hospice.
