Delores Annesser

OTTAWA - Delores Annesser, 81 of Ottawa died Friday, July 3, 2026, at her residence. She was born July 6, 1944, in Ottawa to the late Urban C and Philamena (Karhoff) Verhoff. On November 9, 1968, she married Robert W. Annesser, who preceded her in death on January 16, 2017.

Delores is survived by two children: Ryan (Denise) Annesser of Glandorf and Dawn (Matt) Schmenk of Ottawa; 5 grandchildren: Emily (Jake) Dible of Findlay, Erica Annesser of Glandorf, Kennedy (Brad) Recker of Ottawa, Sam Schmenk of Dublin and Eli Schmenk of Ottawa; a great-granddaughter: Harper Delores Recker of Ottawa; a brother: Victor (Pat) Verhoff of Idaho Falls, ID; 2 sisters-in-law: Evelyn Verhoff of Glandorf and Audrey Verhoff of Ottawa and a brother-in-law: Bob Canipe of Shelby NC.

In addition to her parents and husband, Delores is preceded in death by 2 brothers; Lambert Verhoff and Orrville Verhoff and a sister: Ruth Jean Canipe.

Delores retired from Phillips, Ottawa after 33 years and the Putnam County Council on Aging after 22 years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She was a member of both the Ottawa Eagles and Columbus Grove Eagles. She enjoyed cheering on the Cincinnati Red and Bengals and her hometown team, the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
