Deloris I. Wilson

CONTINENTAL – Deloris I. Wilson, 90, of Continental, died 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.  She was born September 15, 1931, in Monroe Township, Putnam County Ohio to the late Carl and Nora (Hampshire) Williams.  On January 12, 1952, she married Earl L. Wilson, who preceded her in death on November 26, 1989.

She is survived by 3 children:  Gary (Joan) Wilson of Continental, Kevin (Cindy) Wilson of Ottawa and Mark (Tiffany) Wilson of Continental; 2 sisters:  Donna Lee (John) Leatherman of Oakwood and Shirley Ernsberger of North Baltimore; 7 grandchildren:  Nick (Katie) Wilson, Bethany (James) Cotner, Robin (Jason) Hefner, Marla Rayle, Peyton, Preston, and Paxton Wilson; and 5 great-grandchildren:  Brady and Brylee Wilson, Henry and Andrew Cotner and Lewis Hefner.

Deloris is preceded in death by a daughter:  Pam (Joe) Rayle; 4 brothers:  Carl Williams, Jr., Paul Williams, Richard Williams, and Donald Williams; and 5 sisters:  Virginia Guild, Mable Fields, Bessie Divens, Wilma Williams, and Carolyn Lee.

Deloris retired from Continental Local School where she had been a bus driver.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Continental and as a past president of its United Methodist Women.  She was also a member of the Continental Eastern Stars.

The funeral service for Deloris will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Christ United Methodist Church, Continental with Rev. Terry Porter officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and again Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
