Dennis R. Ellerbrock

KALIDA – Dennis R. Ellerbrock, 69, of Kalida, died at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital Bridge Hospice, Findlay.  He was born November 26, 1951 in Lima to the late Gilbert and Louise (Honigfort) Ellerbrock. On September 18, 1976, he married Donna Reindel and she survives in Kalida.

He is also survived by three children: Troy (Jodi) Ellerbrock, Joel (Lindsay) Ellerbrock and Christy (Rob) Kleman all of Kalida;  six grandchildren: Kellen Ellerbrock, Eden Ellerbrock, Charlotte Fuller, Violet Fuller, Myles Ellerbrock and Wyatt Kleman; two brothers: Bill Ellerbrock of Kalida, Don (Karen) Ellerbrock of Ottoville; and two sisters: Mary Jane (Doug) Mullenhour and Patty (Richard) Shaffer both of Delphos.

Dennis retired in 2006 from General Motors, Defiance after 33 years of employment. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of Fort Jennings American Legion, Ottawa American Legion, Ottoville VFW and Kalida Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time with the grandkids and watching them play sports. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.  He also enjoyed farming, crossword puzzles and playing cards.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Father Mark Hoying officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
