Dennis R. Frederick

DEFIANCE – Dennis R. Frederick, 72, of Defiance died at 2:35 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice.  He was born February 22, 1949 in Defiance to the late Howard and Mary (Sebring) Frederick.  On April 15, 1989, he married Sue Burgeon, she survives in Defiance.

Also surviving are two children: Shonda (Billy) Abernethy of NC, Rian (Ashlee) Frederick of Hicksville; two step-children: Christina Colburn of Defiance and Dale (Lynnette) Bak of Sherwood; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren;  and seven siblings: Barb (Gene) Vogel of Defiance, Gary (Judy) Frederick of Oakwood,  Carol (Jack) Hernandez of Ft. Wayne, IN., Nona (Joe) Baker of Decatur, IN., Greg (Pam) Frederick of Defiance, Kathy Handy of Troy, and Kenny (Marianne) Frederick of Defiance.

He is preceded in death by a step-daughter, Paulette Bak.

Dennis worked at Frozen Specialties, Archbold as a maintenance electrician.  He had served in the United States Army during Vietnam.

Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
