Dennis L. "Frog" Warniment
OTTAWA - Dennis L. "Frog" Warniment, 77, of Ottawa, passed away at 4:26 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born March 8, 1948, in Lima to the late Melvin and Rose (Kuhlman) Warniment. On November 14, 1968, he married Shirley Westrick, who survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include two children: Malissa (Dean) Monnin of Columbus and Alton (Laura) Warniment of Pandora; six grandchildren: Chloe, Henry, Emma, Gracee, Jude and Lucie; and two siblings: Bonnie (Don) Zierolf of Toledo and Melvin Charles (Deb) Warniment of Leipsic.
He was also preceded in death by three grandchildren: Griffin Warniment, Stella Warniment and Augustus Monnin.
Dennis retired from EJ Meyer, where he worked in road construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was a veteran of the US Army serving as an MP Desk Sergeant in Germany during the Vietnam War. Dennis was a member of the Ottawa American Legion, Ottawa VFW and Ottawa Eagles, where he enjoyed playing euchre for over 35 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the shooting range. Dennis loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
