Dennis C. Landin

Ottoville – Dennis C. Landin, 74, of Ottoville died 6:59 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Mercy St. Vincent's Hospital, Toledo.  He was born April 30, 1943 in Ottoville to the late Joseph and Henrietta (Nartker) Landin.  On August 17, 1963 he married Martha Gerding who survives in Ottoville.

He is also survived  by his children: Ron (Chris) Landin of Ottoville, Connie (Nick) Selhorst and  John (Melinda) Landin all of Kalida, Jeff (Kelly) Landin of Ottoville; seven grandchildren: Cody Landin, Brandon Selhorst, Bryce Selhorst, Kyle Landin, Marcus Landin, Jordan Landin and Wyatt Landin;  a brother and sister: Jim (Julie) Landin of Ottoville, Diane (Art) Ricker of Ottoville; in-laws: Dorothy and Jerry Pohlman of Ottoville, Tom (Jean) Gerding of Wake Forrest, N.C. and Theresa Gerding of Kalida.  Dennis is also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Robert Gerding and Ronald Gerding and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Ruth and Howard Miller.

Dennis was a farmer and a truck driver for 37 years for Jennings-Gomer Equity.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville; an OFK Show Stopper's 4-H advisor for 42 years and a member of Putnam County Pork  Producers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. , Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, with the Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.   Visitation will be Wednesday, 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township, where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m.
