Ottoville -- Dennis P. Schimmoeller, 50, of Ottoville died 2:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 19, 1966 in Lima to Gerald "Jerry" and Carolyn (Brickner) Schimmoeller of Ottoville.
Also surviving are his children: Adam Schimmoeller of Ottoville, Addison Schimmoeller and Ashlin Schimmoeller, both of Delphos; 2 sisters: Karen (Tim) Crow of Vermillion and Nancy (John) Selhorst of Kalida; 2 brothers: James (Lena) Schimmoeller of Bradenton, FL and John (Jackie) Schimmoeller of Kalida; 5 nephews: Anthony "Tony" Crow, Zachary Selhorst, Cory Schimmoeller, Derrick Schimmoeller and Dylan Schimmoeller; 3 nieces: Emily (Mark) Inkrott, Cassandra Schimmoeller and Dayna Schimmoeller.
Dennis was an equipment operator for Schimmoeller Construction, Kalida. He was a 1985 graduate of Ottoville High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. Dennis was a social member of the Ottoville VFW, loved John Deere and playing cards, especially euchre. He was also a technic Lego builder.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with the Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where a scripture service will be held at 1:45 p.m.
