Diana W. "Danni" Mayhew

OTTAWA – Diana W. "Danni" Mayhew, 80, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully at 11:08 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at The Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born September 16, 1943, in Coshocton to the late Jack and Zola "Pat" (Fletcher) McCleary.  On June 28, 1964, she married David C. Mayhew.  He passed away December 21, 2012.

Survivors include two children: David (Deanna) Mayhew of Hicksville and Dean (Sharon) Mayhew of Glandorf; five grandchildren: Erica, Cecelia, Anissa, Kendall and Connor; eleven great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; and a brother-in-law, Bill Vorlicky of West Palm Beach, FL.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jacquie Vorlicky.

Danni and her husband Dave were the former owners of Hickory Hills Golf Course in Hicksville. She also worked numerous years in the Ottawa-Glandorf School System as an aide and at the Car-E-It in Ottawa. She enjoyed golf, playing cards and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and OSU Buckeyes. Danni loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Glandorf on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Open House will follow from 3:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Ottawa Eagles side room.

Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
