Diane F. Patton

OTTAWA – Diane F. Patton, 78, of Ottawa, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at her residence. She was born September 8, 1945, in Ottawa to the late Raymond and Marcella (Klausing) Tenwalde.

Diane is survived by two children: Joseph (Christa) Patton of Bath and Lori (Michael Kaiser) Hermiller of Ottawa; five grandchildren: Wes Patton, Connor Patton, Molly Patton, Allison (Brayton) Schmitz and Olivia Hermiller; a great-grandson, Beau Schmitz; two siblings: John Tenwalde of Ottawa and Tom (Linda) Tenwalde of Columbus; and sister-in-law, Doris Tenwalde of Ottawa.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Charlie Dean Schmitz; a brother, James Tenwalde; and sister-in-law, Janice Tenwalde.

Diane was a former office administrator for Dr. Bansal for many years. She had previously worked as a payroll clerk at Philips, Ottawa until their closing. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, where she was a Minister of Praise. She was also a member of the C. L. of C., Ottawa Eagles Auxiliary and Friends of the Library. Diane was a Master Gardener and a member of the Dooryard Garden Club. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially attending her grandchildren's activities.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. A scripture service will be held at 7:50 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
