Diane E. Jones
CONTINENTAL - Diane E. Jones, 58, of Continental, passed away at 10:27 a.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born February 21, 1955 in Pecos, Texas to the late Ullman E. "Willie" & Wilma L. (Etter) Willborn. On October 9, 1976 she married Ted F. Jones, who survives in Continental.
Also surviving are her daughter: Amanda (Nathan) Mellott of Mt. Blanchard; 3 sisters: Debra (Ira) Good of Continental, Brenda (Douglas) Teman of Ft. Jennings and Sandra Moreo of Dupont; and 2 grandchildren: Abigail and Braden Mellott. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Willborn.
Diane was a member of Dupont Church of the Brethren and had been a day care provider, who loved and nurtured children for 18 years. She was a former Big Sister and former foster parent. Diane was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and exceptional grandmother. She loved crafting, the companionship of her dog, Zoe, and her nieces and nephews. Diane was also very loved by her siblings.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Dupont Church of the Brethren with Rev. Chris Baker  officiating. Burial will follow in the Cascade Cemetery, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of West Central Ohio.
