Dolores J. Alt OTTAWA - Dolores J. Alt, 89, of Ottawa, was reunited with the love of her life, Don and her sons, Phil and Rod at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at her daughter's residence. She was born February 2, 1935, in Lima to the late Benjamin and Helen (Kottenbrock) Brinkman. On September 10, 1955, she married Donald T. "Don" Alt, who preceded her in death on August 31, 2024. Dolores is survived by five children: Steve (Jane) Alt of Glandorf, Jeff (Brenda) Alt of Powell, Dan (Jacque) Alt of Knoxville, TN, Janice (Phil) Heuker of Perrysburg and Keith (Lisa) Alt of Ottawa; a daughter-in-law: Lisa Alt of Ottawa; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way; and a sister, Patricia Scott of Dayton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons: Phil Alt and Rod Alt; and three siblings: Mel Brinkman, Marvin Brinkman and Dorothy Klausing. Dolores graduated from Leipsic High School and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, crocheting and loved her family deeply. Her laugh would hug your heart, her warmth always a welcome, her smile just endearing, her wisdom always wiser than she would boast, her love of the grandchildren and great-grands was her most beguiling quality. Countless hours of giving her time, care and love to her grandchildren, whom she referred to as Darlings, is an inspirational and admirable quality she gifted us. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Father Scott Kramer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
