Donald "Bogie" Bogard

LEIPSIC -- Donald "Bogie" Bogard, age 80 of Leipsic died July 13, 2017 at his residence.  He was born November 17, 1936 in Leipsic to the late Harry C. and Blanche "Ethel" (Norton) Bogard.

Donald is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Jeanette Bogard of Jackson, MI and Sally Bogard of Leipsic; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by 4 brothers,  James, Harry, John and Kenneth Bogard; and a sister-in-law,  Lillian Bogard.

Donald was an Army Veteran.  He had worked for Phillips ECG, Ottawa and later he worked for the Leipsic Hardware.  He was a lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church, Leipsic.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic with military rites by the Leipsic American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
