Donald E. Butler

CONTINENTAL – Donald E. Butler, 86, of Continental, passed away at 4:42 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Northcrest Rehab and Nursing, Napoleon. He was born December 26, 1938, in Delphos to the late Lloyd and Leona (Purdy) Butler. On November 22, 1967, he married Ima Phillips, who preceded him in death on April 7, 2019.

He is survived by a son, Jason Butler of Continental; grandson: Noah (Makenzie Norris) Butler; 2 great-grandchildren: Harper and Elias Butler; 4 siblings: Llyod (Barb) Butler of Continental, Beverly Agner of Oakwood, Marilyn Butler and Sue (Art) Haehn, both of Delphos and a brother-in-law: Jerry Howard of Oakwood.

He was preceded in death by 5 sisters: Betty Butler, Patty Butler, Phyllis (Ira) Beair, Carol (James) Barnhart and Darlene Howard and a brother-in-law: Russell Agner.

Donald retired from Philips, Ottawa. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family.

Funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental, with Pastor Monica Kleman officiating.  A visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
