Donald R. Corkwell, Jr.
Continental – Donald R. Corkwell, Jr., 72, formerly of Continental, died 9:02 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Lima Memorial Hospital.  He was born January 30, 1940 in Continental to the late Donald and Edna (Forney) Corkwell, Sr.
Donald is survived by 2 sons: Robert and Ronald Corkwell; 1 daughter: Holly Corkwell; a brother: Larry (Betty) Corkwell of Continental and 2 sisters: Mary (John) Grubb of Paulding and Darlene Whitaker of New Haven.  He is preceded in death by a sister: Linda Glass and a brother-in-law: James Whitaker.
Donald had worked at General Motors in Defiance.  He was an Army Veteran.
A funeral service will begin 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental, with Pastor Jerald Rayl officiating. Military rites by Continental American Legion will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Monroe Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Putnam County Hospice.
