MILLER CITY - Donald L. Ellerbrock, 87, of Miller City, passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022, at the Meadows of Ottawa. He was born October 10, 1934, in Leipsic to the late Alex and Mary (Morman) Ellerbrock. On October 10, 1959, he married Rosalind Carpenter, she survives in Miller City.
Donald is survived by seven children: Steve (Linda Cox) Ellerbrock of Leipsic, Shari (Terry) Maas of Ottawa, Dave (Ruth) Ellerbrock of Miller City, Rob Ellerbrock of Hamler, Julie (Tony) Roth of Waterford, MI., Brian (Carrie) Ellerbrock of Leipsic, and Lynn Ellerbrock of Santa Rosa, CA.; twenty-four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Alice Koch of Ottawa, and Marilyn Wannemacher of Cloverdale; and two brothers: Ken (Kathleen) Ellerbrock of Kalida; and Karl Ellerbrock of Glandorf.
He is preceded in death by a son, Scott Ellerbrock; a sister, Eloise (Wilber) McCullough; a brother, Richard (Dorothy) Ellerbrock; a sister-in-law, Joyce Ellerbrock; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Koch, and Roger Wannemacher.
Donald was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. He retired from WeatherSeal, Louisiana Pacific, Ottawa. He had also been a lifelong farmer. Donald was a member of the Ottawa Eagles and the Ottawa American Legion and had served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a very social person and loved visiting with people.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Father Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa American Legion. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
