Donald B. Farthing

LEIPSIC -- Donald B. Farthing, 79, of Leipsic died 10:10 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Tidewell Hospice, Bradenton, Florida.   He was born July 19, 1939 in Lima to the late Burdette  and Burnis (Miley) Farthing.  On November 7, 1965 he married Carol Jones Richter, who survives in Leipsic.

Also surviving are 3 children:  Curtis (Sharon) Farthing of Pandora, Mike (Denise) Ritcher of Hamilton, Ohio and Tatia (Dean) Langston of Eugene, Oregon; 7 grandchildren; 3 Sisters: Janeen Elliott of Ottawa, Jan Frantz of Cridersville and Joyce (Jim) Stover of Reno, Nevada.

He is preceded in death by a son:  David Farthing and his brother: Dennis Farthing.

Don retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima. He attended Leipsic United Methodist Church, was a member of the Leipsic Rod and Gun, and a life member of the NRA . He wintered in Bradenton, Florida and spent summers at the Maumee River.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Leipsic United Methodist Church, with Pastor Ruth Carder Crist officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorial donations may be given to Tidewell Hospice, Bradenton, Florida.
