Donald E. Smith
GLANDORF – Donald E. Smith, 64, of Glandorf died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at Kindred Hospital, Lima.  He was born March 14, 1948 in Lima to the late Edward and Martha Mary (Hoffman) Smith.  Surviving is his special friend: Helen M. Giesey of Gilboa; a sister: Jo Ann Smith of Glandorf, 2 brothers: Richard (Nancy) Smith of Kalida and Thomas (Joyce) Smith of Glandorf; 6 nieces, 3 nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews.
Don worked at General Motors of Defiance for the last 41 years.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. He was a 1966 graduate of Ottawa-
Glandorf High School and a 1970 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Engineering.  He was a fan of O-G boys basketball and football; a die-hard Cleveland Browns Fan; a social member of the VFW and enjoyed helping others farm. Don's family would like to thank Dr. Norman Moser, the Nurses at St. Rita's and the staff at Kindred Hospital.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a parish rosary at 7:45 p.m.
Memorials contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
