Donna Jeanne Meeks

OAKWOOD – Donna Jeanne Meeks, RN, 93, of Oakwood died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Gardens of Paulding. She was born July 17, 1924 in Mandale to the late John W. and Pauline (Scott) Richardson. She had been married to William Meeks, Jr. who died September 20, 1984.

She is survived by six children, Jeanne Ann (Michael) Winans of Payne, Nancy (Blake) Neff of Marion, IN., Jackie (Dave) Hyman of Paulding, Marcia (Greg) Sharp of Hilliard, Jim (Nan) Meeks of Oakwood, and Terri (Tim Mosshammer) Meeks of Brookville, FL,; eighteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren and two on-the-way; and five great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Lois (Howard) Bair and Margaret Richardson.

Donna was a retired RN from Paulding Hospital. She was a member of Twin Oaks United Methodist Church, Oakwood and the AORN. Donna enjoyed bowling and was in several leagues and she loved to crochet and do ceramics and was an avid collector.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Jay Neff officiating. Burial will follow in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
