Donna Lee Leatherman

OAKWOOD – Donna Lee Leatherman, 84, of Oakwood, passed away at 1:11 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN with her family by her side.  Donna was born on August 20, 1939, in Continental to the late Carl Sr. and Nora (Hampshire) Williams. On February 20, 1960, she married John Leatherman, who survives in Oakwood. They were married for 64 years.

Donna is also survived by four children: Karen (Mike) Hosinski, Frank (Debra) Leatherman, Roger Leatherman and Nathan Leatherman; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Shirley Ernsberger.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kelly Leatherman; four brothers: Carl Williams, Jr., Paul Williams, Richard Williams and Donald Williams; and six sisters: Virginia Guild, Mabel Fields, Bessie Divens, Wilma Williams, Deloris Wilson and Carolyn Lee.

Donna graduated from Continental High School in 1957. She was a faithful member of Auglaize Chapel Church of God, serving as church secretary for many years. In recent years, she was a member of Bethel Christian Church, Arthur, Ohio.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Bethel Christian Church, Arthur, Ohio with Pastor Christopher Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood.  Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
