Donnie C. Baldwin

OAKWOOD - Donnie C. Baldwin, 78, of Oakwood died 5:25 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 17, 1939 in Jenkins, KY. to the late A. W. and Martha (Hammonds) Baldwin. On June 21, 1969 he married Marilyn Hull who died January 2, 2006.

He is survived by a son, Larry Baldwin of Defiance and two grandchildren, Shelby Hoffer and Steven Hagaman. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Nergie, Jackie, and Gary Baldwin and two sisters, Mildred "Midge" Bush and Sonjia Bates.

Donnie was retired from Campbell Soup in Napoleon. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He liked Bluegrass and country music and enjoyed telling stories and jokes.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Mike Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental with military rites by the Continental American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
