Donovan Lee Joyner DEFIANCE – Donovan Lee Joyner, 26, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Bowling Green.  He was born February 17, 1998, in Lima to Jerry Joyner and Christina Soto. Donovan is survived by his father: Jerry (Allison) Joyner of Lima; his mother: Christina (Mike) Soto-Leland of Defiance; a brother:  Dominic (Helena) Joyner; and a sister: Jacquelyn Joyner, both of Continental; step-brothers: Tyler (Brittany Kennedy) Wireman of Spencerville, Bayne (Hayley) Wireman of Lima; a step-sister: Kora (Branden Pierson) Wireman, also of Lima; grandparents: Jerry E. Joyner, Brenda McBride, and Pedro (Jodi) Soto, Sr.; and many nieces,  nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by a grandfather, Ron McBride. Donovan graduated from Stryker High School in 2017.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bonfires. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 2 to 8 p.m. at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.  The family requests flannel or casual dress.
