D oris Hilvers

LEIPSIC – Doris Hilvers, 95, of Leipsic, passed away at 12:03 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the Meadows of Leipsic.  She was born May 27, 1926, in Leipsic to the late William and Maime (Ardell) Hopkins.  On June 2, 1945, she married Ralph J. Hilvers, he preceded her in death on November 28, 2004.

Doris is survived by three children:  Michael (Rae) Hilvers of Ottawa, Linda (Ralph Garringer) Panning of Deshler, and Timothy (Debra) Hilvers of Belleville, MI; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Paul "Lennie" Panning; one brother; and three sisters.

Doris was a homemaker, and a member of the Leipsic Eagles Auxiliary.  She enjoyed gardening.  Her specialty dish was fried chicken.

Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic.  A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
