Doris F. Karhoff

GLANDORF – Doris F. Karhoff, 68, of Glandorf, passed away at 8:45 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025, at The Meadows of Leipsic.  She was born May 23, 1957, in Lima to the late Ralph and Alice (Fuerst) Niese. On June 23, 1979, she married Duane Karhoff, who survives in Glandorf.

Other survivors include two children: Laura (Greg) Schulte of Ottawa and Erica (Derek) Maas of Leipsic; five grandchildren: Garrett and Owen Schulte, Jacquelyn, Lyndi and Abram Maas; three siblings: Diane (Dan) Zeisloft of Leipsic, Duane Niese of Ottawa and Doyle (Sue) Niese of Leipsic; a sister-in-law, Lois Niese of Leipsic; and in-laws: Bev (Paul) Bockrath of Cincinnati, Denny (Joan) Karhoff, Ron (Sandy) Karhoff, both of Ottawa and Annette Karhoff of Lima.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Niese; a brother, David Niese; brother-in-law, Bill Karhoff; and a dear friend, Mary Kay Weis.

Doris was a 1975 graduate of Leipsic High School and would gather for luncheons with some of her former classmates every chance she got. She was the supply manager/pricing coordinator at The Community Market in Bluffton and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Doris loved going on long drives with her husband, Duane. She enjoyed playing board games with her grandkids, and especially loved spending time at Christmas with them.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Putnam County CAP or Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
