Doris M. Basinger

OTTAWA – Doris M. Basinger, 95, of Ottawa, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 16, 1928, in Ottawa to the late Nelson and May (Thomas) Radabaugh. On October 30, 1952, she married Orten Basinger, who preceded her in death on September 2, 2009.

She is survived by five children: Debbie Basinger of Ottawa, Linda (Phil Austin) Basinger of Lima, Evan (Mary) Basinger, Kevin (Laurie) Basinger, all of Ottawa and Tina (Doug Stemen) Basinger of Elida; seven grandchildren: Taylor, Devon and Chase Basinger, Sara (Sean) Overton, Erin (Zach) Hoffman, Trent Basinger and Mark Stemen; a great-grandchild, Sydney Overton; and a sister, Kate Leffler of Leipsic.

She is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Chuck Leffler.

Doris retired from Sylvania/Philips, Ottawa.  She was a life member of the Ottawa VFW.

Graveside service will begin 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2023 at Harman Cemetery, Gilboa. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
