Dorothea M. Averesch

Kalida -- Dorothea M. (Schroeder) Averesch, 87, of Kalida died 7:43 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 the Meadows of Kalida.  She was born March 27, 1929 in Lima to the late George and Cecelia (Bellman) Schroeder.  On October 27, 1951 she married Raymond H. Averesch, who survives in Kalida.

She is also survived by her children:  Norman (Ann Ellerbrock) Averesch of Miller City, Janet (Tim) Hermiller of Ottawa, Jean (Ron) Siefker of Glandorf, Ron Averesch of Kalida, Julie (Jeff) Wilkins of Columbus Grove and Mike (Brenda) Averesch of Ottawa; 19 Grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law:  Fredia Schroeder of Glandorf.

She is preceded in death by 2 brothers:  Paul Schroeder and Fidelis "Jim" Schroeder; and 2 sisters:  Suzie Smith and Sarah Warnecke.

Dorothea was a homemaker and worked on the family farm.  She attended a country school, but graduated from Glandorf High School.  She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida. and was a member of its Rosary Altar Sodality.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church, with Father Mark Hoying officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
