Dorothy J. Campbell

OTTAWA - Dorothy J. Campbell, 94, of Ottawa, died 7:22 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Putnam Heritage in Ottawa.  She was born September 10, 1923 in Columbus Grove to the late Lemuel Elmer and Ola Mae (Rogers) Bogart.  On September 14, 1944, she married James C. Campbell.  He died May 16, 1991.

Other survivors include two children: J. Michael (Cathy) Campbell of Cape Coral, FL and Nancy (Mark) Chow of Zanesville; nine grandchildren; a step granddaughter; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Carol (Paul) Hoppe of Ft. Wayne, IN.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Campbell; and seven siblings, Hazel Woods, Lena Bogart, Lois Teegardin, Marvel Bogart, Roger Bogart, Richard Bogart and Treva Waggoner.

Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa.  She was a charter member of Diapers to Diamonds Mother's Club, a member of the Eastern Star, Rollerettes and Hi Liners Bowling Leagues working with Jr. bowlers for years at Ottawa Highland Lanes. She loved golf and even got a hole in one at Pike Run (former Kildair Country Club).

A funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Pastor Kathleen Hayes and Pastor Mark Chow officiating.  Burial will follow in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.  Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa as well as one hour prior to the service Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa.

Memorial donations may be made to Bridge Hospice or Trinity United Methodist Church.
