Edel Castillo

LEIPSIC – Edel Castillo, 59, of Leipsic, passed away at 2:35 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.  He was born January 25, 1965, in Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Elias and Rebecca (Ramirez) Castillo.  He married Consuelo (Ramos) Castillo, she survives in Leipsic.

Edel is also survived by six siblings:  Clemente Castillo, Joel Castillo, Eloy Castillo, Elio Castillo, Clara Castillo, and Jose Elias Castillo, all of Mexico; and a lot of extended family, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two siblings, Elfido Castillo and Cruz Maria Castillo.

Edel work at Hearthside Foods, McComb.  He loved his job and never missed a day.  He was a very good and loving husband and brother.  Edel loved kids.  He enjoyed babysitting and taking them to school.  Edel loved to help others, especially doing mechanic work when he could.  He was loved by all his family.

A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Jose Zamora officiating.  A visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
