Edith M. Lammers
Ottawa- Edith M. Lammers, 87 of Ottawa died at 4:20 p.m., February 20, 2014 , at Bridge Hospice of Findlay. She was born June 13, 1926 in Lima to the late Luther and Elizabeth (Bauman) Aldrich. On March 2, 1946 she married Melvin H. Lammers, who died November 25, 2009.
Surviving are 2 sons: Ronald (Jane) Lammers and Bill Lammers both of Ottawa; 2 daughters: Diane Mershman of Ottawa and Joyce Lammers of Ketchikan, Alaska; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren;1 brother: Luther (Bonnie) Aldrich of Lafayette, and 1 sister: Shirley (Gary) Adams of Elida. She is preceded in death by a son: Jimmy Dale Lammers and 2 sisters: Gladys Martin, and Carol Tuttle.
Edith retired from Phillips in Ottawa. She was a lifetime member of the Ottawa VFW auxiliary, a member of the Ottawa Eagles auxiliary, and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus Grove with Fr. Tom Extejt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and one hour prior to mass at the church. Memorials may be given to Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
