Edna E. Riepenhoff

GLANDORF - Edna E. Riepenhoff, 96, of Glandorf, died at 1:26 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born July 24, 1926 in Glandorf to the late Edwin and Frances (Verhoff) Recker.  On June 26, 1948, she married Thomas Riepenhoff. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2014.

Tom and Edna had 6 children: Donald (Virginia) Riepenhoff of Glandorf, Roger - dec. (Rose) Riepenhoff of Ottawa, Alvin (Judy) Riepenhoff of Glandorf, Rose Ann (Dave) Hermiller of Miller City, Joan (Denny) Karhoff of Glandorf and Linda Ellerbrock of Ottawa; 13 grandchildren: Greg, Dale, Mark, Brad (Richelle) and Brenda Riepenhoff; Gina Riepenhoff; Laura (Jason) Inkrott, Brian Riepenhoff, Ann (Andy) Biehle; Jennifer Karhoff, Rachel (Kyle) Hall; Nick (Taylor) and Michael (Sarah) Ellerbrock; and 6 great-grandchildren: Gage, Julianne, Aspyn, Cohen, Carver and Grayson.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Harold (Josephine) Recker and Virgil (Mary Agnes) Recker.

Edna was a homemaker. She had worked for Loving Care Day Care in Ottawa. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Altar Rosary Society.  She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint.  She also loved to travel.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 - 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to Mass on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. There will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
