Edna M. Lauer
GLANDORF - Edna M. Lauer, 85, of Glandorf, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at her residence. She was born February 7, 1929 in Leipsic to the late Bernard and Martha (Niese) Schroeder. On April 25, 1953 she married Richard Lauer who survives in Glandorf.
Also surviving are 5 children: Karen Lauer of Mesa, AZ., David (Marge) Lauer of Greencastle, IN., Kevin (Becky) Lauer of Galena, Michelle (Tony) Rosselit of Pandora, and Jeff (Chris) Lauer of Mesa, AZ.; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother: Walter "Bud" (Mary Lou) Schroeder of Leipsic; and 2 sisters: Esther McCallister of Leipsic and Frances Greenawalt of Indianapolis, IN. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy Rampe.
Edna retired as Branch Manager for various banks. She had owned and operated The Style House in Ottawa. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Rosary Altar Society. Edna enjoyed crocheting, reading and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
