Edna Rose Tobe
OTTAWA - Edna Rose Tobe, 74, of Ottawa was called to her heavenly home on Friday, December 19, 2014.
She was born June 10, 1940, in New Bavaria, to Peter B. and Frances (Ensman) Spangler.  She married William" Bill" Tobe on September 28, 1963.  All three preceded her in death as well as an infant daughter: Rose Ann, and two brothers: Eugene Spangler and Raymond Spangler.
She is survived by four children:  David (Diane) Tobe of Lima, Barbara (David) Meyer of Columbus Grove, Christine (Robert) Whitehead of Elkhart, IN, and Jennifer (Jamey) Croy of Ottawa;  eight grandchildren: Benjamin and Matthew Tobe, Rebecca and Jeffrey Meyer, Joshua Whitehead, Jacob, Jordan and Jillian Croy; one sister: Joann and Wayne (deceased) Jones; two sisters-in-law: Jeanette Spangler and Eulitta Spangler; one brother-in-law: Frank (Carolyn) Tobe; and many nieces and nephews.
Edna was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She was active in the Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and Sts. Peter and Paul Prayer Chain.
She cherished spending time with her beloved family and friends, especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.  She also enjoyed reading, traveling and playing cards.
Edna was a beautiful woman of faith.  She was warm and welcoming, gentle and kind.  She will be sadly missed.
The family will receive friends and family from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a CL of C rosary will be held at 7 p.m. and a scripture service will be held at 7:50 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa with Father Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
