Edwina "Kay" Harter
CLOVERDALE – Edwina "Kay" Harter, 63, of Cloverdale, died 9:17 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice. She was born October 9, 1948 in Vanceburg, KY to Flemming and Anna (Thompson) Logan, Sr. Her father is deceased and her mother survives in Moorehead, KY. On September 1, 1984 she married Bertram "Bert" Harter, who survives in Cloverdale.
Also surviving are her children: Steven (Julie) Burton of New Castle, IN and Tina Mayhall of Hamilton, AL; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Jack (Edna) Logan, Greg (Norrine) Logan, and Flemming Logan, Jr.; 5 sisters: Barb (Joe) Zwierzyzki, Rita Horstman, Tina Donaldson, Sheliah (Junior) Richmond, and Twana (Glen) Clark; and 2 brothers-in-law: Donald (Mary Lou) Harter and Gary (Connie) Harter.
Preceding her in death are 2 brothers: Gary Logan and Dexter Logan and 1 sister: Marie Richmond.
Kay was a homemaker and was an avid hunter of mushrooms and arrowheads.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood. Pastor Eric Dailey will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
