Eileen F. Decker

KALIDA - Eileen F. Decker, 76, of Kalida, passed away peacefully at 6:25 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2022 at her residence. She was born August 11, 1945 in Cloverdale to the late Joseph and Mildred (Stechschulte) Buss.  On May 1, 1965, she married Kenneth E. "Sam" Decker. He survives in Kalida.

Other survivors include 3 children: Denise (Jeff) Kreinbrink of Leipsic, Joe (Dee) Decker and Dan (Lisa) Decker, both of Kalida; 10 grandchildren: Brooke (Dylan) Kleman, Emily (Bryant) Clymer, Logan Kreinbrink, Levi Kreinbrink, Cassidy Decker, Olivia Decker, Garrett Decker, Cody Decker, Alexis (Ryan) Erhart and Braden Decker;  2 great-grandchildren: Molly Kleman and Isabella Erhart; 8 siblings: Larry (Marie) Buss, Bob (Joyce) Buss, Dorothy (Ron) Kerner, all of Kalida, Edie (Denny) Carroll of West Chester, Norma (Dennis) Vorst, Kenny (Sandy) Buss, Barb (Duane) Steffan, Dave (Shirley) Buss, all of Kalida; and a sister-in-law, Jo Buss of Kalida.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Buss.

Eileen was a retired Clerk for the Village of Kalida and a former EMT for Kalida EMS. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed helping with the Latch Key Program at Kalida Elementary School. Eileen also enjoyed camping, walking, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 with a rosary service beginning at 7:30 p.m. and again on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
