Eileen D. Calvelage
FORT JENNINGS - Eileen D. Calvelage, 81, of Fort Jennings, died at 2:45 pm Sunday, March 4, 2012 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born July 13, 1930 in Fort Jennings to the late John and Emma (Ellerbrock) Wittler. On November 25, 1950, she married Daniel A. Calvelage. He died October 1, 1997.
Surviving are 2 sons: Timothy (Sue) Calvelage of Kalida and Rick (Jan) Calvelage of Fort Jennings; a daughter-in-law: Irene Calvelage of Delphos; a son-in-law: Lee (Esther) Searcy of Elida; 10 grandchildren: Tony, Laura, Mike, Steve, Doug, Chris, Scott, Reed, Kian and Quinn; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers: Eugene (Normie) Wittler of Defiance, John (Mary Lou) Wittler of Delphos, Robert (Joyce) Wittler of Delphos, Leroy (Jane) Wittler of Fort Jennings and Kenny (Carol) Wittler of Ottoville. She was preceded in death also by a son: Charles "Chuck" Calvelage, a daughter: Kristina "Tina" Searcy, 4 brothers: Norman, Elmer, Leander and Harold Wittler and a sister: Rita Will.
Eileen was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was a huge fan of the Fort Jennings Musketeers and Cincinnati Reds and loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially their times at the lake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (on the corner of Rts. 224 and 634) where there will be a scripture service at 3:00 p.m. and a CLC service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
