Elaine M. Schimmoeller
KALIDA - Elaine M. Schimmoeller, 61, of Kalida died at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at The Meadows of Putnam Acres. She was born December 18, 1951 in Putnam County to Gilbert and Dorothy (Kleman) Riepenhoff. Her father is deceased, her mother survives in Miller City. On January 19, 1974 she married Michael Schimmoeller who survives in Kalida
Also surviving are 2 children: Andrew (Denise) Schimmoeller of South Lyon, MI and Julie (Ed) Stanish of Troy; 1 grandchild: John "Jack" Schimmoeller of South Lyon, MI; 3 brothers: Eugene Riepenhoff, Joseph (Becky) Riepenhoff, and Gilbert Jr. (Julie) Riepenhoff all of Ottawa; 2 sisters: Lois (Marvin) Schroeder of Ottawa and Lisa (Michael) O'Doherty of Herndon, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Elaine was a registered nurse at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf, Lima Memorial Hospital, Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa, The Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf, and more recently at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, its Rosary Altar Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a Rosary Altar and CLC rosary at 7 p.m. on Sunday.  Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or to MDS Cancer Research, 4573 S.
