Eleanor A. Knueve

LEIPSIC -Eleanor A. Knueve, 91, of Leipsic, died 10:02 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. She was born January 14, 1925 in Lima to the late Frank and Bernadine (Warnecke) Sager. On May 3, 1944 she married Clarence "Clem" Knueve who died March 23, 1996.

She is survived by two children: John Knueve of Bowling Green, Jeanne (Robert) Oehler of Lima; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister: Ceil Nartker of Delphos.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Francis, Arnold, and Donald Sager; eight sisters: Mary Jancauskus, Alberta Sullivan, Teresa Patton, Jennifer Finn, Rita Koester, Elizabeth Ducey, Arla Jean Karam, and Margaret Sager.

Ellie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic. She took pride in raising her children and in her extended family. She loved birds, gardening and flowers, and took great joy in helping others and in keeping her home spotless-always done with good humor and sporting her characteristic smile and determination.  The world will be a little dimmer place  for her  leaving us- but a better place for her having been a part of it.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Ottawa.
