Elisabeth K. "Else"  Burgei

GLANDORF - Elisabeth K. "Else" Burgei, 85, of Glandorf died at 11:27 a.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born October 8, 1932 in Hausdülmen, Germany to the late Hugo Felix and Maria Gertrud (Osterkamp) Vennemann. On December 10, 1994 she married Robert M. Burgei who died January 25, 1998.

Else is survived by two sisters, Franziska "Sissi" Eichenberg and Irmagard (Rudolph) van de Burg; She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Anton, Wilhelm, and Heinrich Vennemann; her twin sister, Maria Hiebel; and four in-laws, Gertrude Vennemann, Alfred Eichenberg, Hedwig Vennemann, and Johann Hiebel.

Else was a professional seamstress, a caregiver and housekeeper. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Kalida. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 1:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
