In July 1960, Betty and Mick, along with Clark and Edna White started the Car-E-It Party Shop which remains a Putnam County landmark to this day. In the spring of 1963 they opened Ducey's Trailer Sales. Even while raising a house full of children, she still found time to act as a partner in both businesses. Following retirement she devoted her time and energy into further spoiling her grandchildren at which she was almost too good. Elizabeth enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, where she became an accomplished player according to her fellow bridge club members. She was an ardent supporter of The Ohio State University, enjoyed gardening and loved the hummingbirds coming to her feeders every summer.
Betty was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. The family requests donations be made to Putnam Co. Hospice or Sts.
