Elizabeth Rose Dockery

CONTINENTAL - Elizabeth Rose Dockery, 67, of Continental, died at 10:13 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1957, in Putnam County to the late William "Bill" and Norma (Purdy) Ladd.  On July 28, 1991, she married Cline E. Dockery, who survives in Continental.

Other survivors include six children: Melissa (Tom) Burkhart of Cloverdale, Royal (Angela) Woolbright of Van Wert, Shawn (Erika Krugh) Woolbright, Danielle (Toby) Pier, both of Continental, Jennifer (Shawn) Baumbarger of Liberty Center and Clint (Hayley) Dockery of Swanton; 15 grandchildren: Destiny and Cassie Pier, Kevin Moore, Madison Burkhart, Taylor Szklany, Kaden Woolbright, Sara, Jase, Abel and Enid "Stormy" Woolbright, Alaina Recker, Brin and Kendall Baumbarger, and Kyle and Brooke Dockery; four great-grandchildren; seven siblings: Rick Ladd of Columbus, William "Bill" Ladd, Jr. of Oakwood, Ed (Deb) Ladd of Cloverdale, Tom (Lisa) Ladd, Sandi (Buck) Pratt, both of Fort Jennings, Don (Becky) Ladd of Oakwood and Mary (Tom) Keller of Cloverdale; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Moore; three sisters-in-law: Gaye Jenkins, Char Dockery and Karen Dockery; and a brother-in-law, Larry Plummer.

Elizabeth retired from Campbell's Soup, Napoleon, where she was a filler and press operator and cable and line cleaner. She enjoyed cooking, taking nature walks with her husband, gardening, canning, photography and making photo albums. Elizabeth also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially playing cards with them and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She loved spoiling her grandchildren that she loved so dearly. Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Christopher Baker officiating.  Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
