Ottawa - Eloise C. Wessell, 93, of Ottawa died Friday, January 20, 2017 at 8:02 p.m. at her residence.   She was born February 11, 1923 in Miller City to the late Raymond and Anna (Sheeley) McDonald.  On June 23, 1945, she married Richard C. Wessell who died in 1997.

Eloise is survived by a daughter: Patricia Goodkin of Ottawa; 3 grandchildren: Gretchen (Brett) Becker, Jay Goodkin, and Gwen (Jose) Rocha;  and 5 great-grandchildren: Ainsley and Brody Losh, Anya, Elena, and Georgina Rocha.  Preceding her in death is a son-in-law: Bill Goodkin;  2 brothers: Paul McDonald and Raymond McDonald Jr. and 2 sisters: Viola Behrens and Rena Kruse.

Eloise retired in 1985 from Phillips GTE after working 34 years.  She was a member of Sts. Peter and  Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.   Eloise loved crocheting, the Lawrence Welk Show, her dog Penny, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.  at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

Memorials may be given to St. Rita's Hospice or Sts. Peter and Paul School.
