Emma M. Niese

DAYTON, formerly of Leipsic – Emma M. Niese, 24, died July 17, 2024, at her residence in Dayton.  She was born June 10, 2000, in Lima to Roger Niese and Jennifer (Diller) Langhals.  Her father, Roger and Georgette Clemens and her mother, Jennifer and stepfather, Brian "Whitey" Langhals all survive in Leipsic.

Also surviving are her siblings:  Megan Langhals of Cleveland, Whitney Langhals, Nick Langhals and Kendra Niese all of Leipsic and Brittany Ruskey of Columbus; Grandparents:  Helen Niese of Leipsic and Jill and Don Diller of Leipsic; great-grandmother:  Bernice Myers; her beloved dog, who she treated like a baby, Gypsy; her boyfriend:  Nik Garcia of Las Vegas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Emma is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Eugene Niese and Whitey's parents:  Nicholas (Rose) Langhals and Esther Goebel.

Emma worked for Delta Point, based at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton.  She was an Air Force veteran, beginning her career in 2018.

Emma was always the life of the party, and her infectious smile would light up the room.  She enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking and participating in CrossFit.  She loved spending her recreation time with her friends and cherished her time with them.

Emma's funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Father Randy Giesige officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at the church.  Following the funeral mass, there will be a celebration of life at the Leipsic Hunting and Fishing Club, where military honors will be performed at 12:15 p.m.
