Emma Hancock Ward
LEIPSIC - Emma Hancock Ward, 92, of Leipsic died at 4:15 a.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born February 20, 1921 in New York to the late Ford and Nellie (Rowe) Russell. She married Robert John "Bob"  Hancock who died May 16, 1981 and was then married to John Ward who died November 5, 2003.
She is survived by 3 children: Larry (Suzanne) Hancock of Grand Rapids, Carol Ann Franks of Leipsic, and Linda (Dennis) Wehrle of Findlay; 9 grandchildren: Tim, Chris, Robyn, Tammy, Sarah, Mary, Rob, Cindi, and Shaun; 11 great-grandchildren: Stefan, Christoph, Nicklaus, Nicole, Heather, Maryam, Jamela, Emma, Regan, Tyler, Cole; and 6 great-great-grandchildren: Noah, Kameron, Trevor, Drew, Kylie, and Alissa;. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law: Monroe Franks.
Emma was a homemaker and a member of First Lutheran Church, Leipsic.  She loved and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her great-great-grandchild, and her dogs, especially Sophie.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor George Zornow officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to First Lutheran Church, Leipsic.
