Esperanza C. "Hope" Castillo LEIPSIC - Esperanza C. "Hope" Castillo, 94, of Leipsic, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born December 18, 1930, in Mexico to the late Albino and Elodia (Gutierrez) Chavez.  On November 1, 1969, she married Francisco Castillo, who preceded her in death on September 22, 1991. Survivors include three children: Fermin (Dana) Rocha of China Grove, TX, Yolanda Hernandez of Findlay and Leticia Duling of Ottawa; 8 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren; and two sisters: Consuelo Ledezma and Maria de Jesus Chavez of La Feria, Texas. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons: Juan Rocha and Joaquin Rocha; two sons-in-law: Ernesto Hernandez and Francis Duling; three brothers:  Pedro, Santos and Alberto Chavez; and a sister, Goya Scagin. Hope formerly worked for Libby NcNeill in Leipsic until 1993. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, its Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Guadalupe Society. Hope enjoyed bingo and crocheting.  She was most proud of her cooking whether she was making food for 30 or 300, all of her food was made with love. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and one hour prior to the mass on Saturday at St. Mary's Parish Life Center, Leipsic.
