Eugene C. Ellerbrock
OTTAWA - Eugene C. "Gene" Ellerbrock, 69, of Ottawa died at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima. He was born November 11, 1945 in Lima to the late Charles and Frances (Kramer) Ellerbrock. On November 19, 1966 he married Linda Brecht who died May 10, 1997.
He is survived by 2 sons: Brian (April) Ellerbrock of Van Wert and Brad (Rhonda) Ellerbrock of Vanlue; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Theresa (Roger) Cole of Lima. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Richard, Robert, and Norbert Ellerbrock and an infant sister.
Gene was owner/operator of Ellerbrock Plumbing and Heating from 1980 to 2008. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa where he was an usher. Gene was a social member of the Ottawa American Legion and a member of the North Central Cushman Club of Ohio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 7:50 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
