Eugene N. "Gene" Dulle
GLANDORF - Eugene N. "Gene" Dulle, 66, of Glandorf died surrounded by his loving family at 12:32 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born November 10, 1947 in Ottawa to the late Ray and Eva (Recker) Dulle. On November 15, 1969 he married Sandra Montooth who survives in Glandorf.
Also surviving are 4 sons: Jeff (Jenny) Dulle of Powell, Bryan (Jennifer) Dulle of Upper Arlington, Mark (Debbie) Dulle of Bluffton, and Zeb (Janine) Dulle of Ottawa; 9 grandchildren: Hartley, Eli, Eva, Evan, Isaac, Alexander, Olivia, Shaylin, and Jordyn; 9 brothers and sisters: Diane (Dennis) Boecker of Simpsonville, SC., Doris (Marv) Niese of Leipsic, Don Dulle of Ottawa, Elaine (Len) Mieczkowski of Findlay, Ken (Sue) Dulle of Hicksville, Norm (Sandy) Dulle of Bluffton, Denny (Deb) Dulle of Fort Jennings, Tom Dulle of Bluffton, and Ranae (Norm) Kahle of Glandorf; and a sister-in-law: Dorothy Dulle of Ottawa.  He was also preceded in death by his brother: Dale Dulle.
Gene retired from Philips Display Components, Ottawa. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. He was a graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Gene was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2234, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9142 and a member of Glandorf Rod and Gun. He was on the Glandorf Fire Department for 20 years and on Glandorf Town Council for 8 years. He was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, camping, auctions, and spending time with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW and American Legion.. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. and a Glandorf Fire Department service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
The family would like to say a special thank you to everyone at the Lima Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic, Dr. Samuel Bansal, Dr. Jacinta Eickholt, Fr. Tony Fortman, and Brother Jerry Schulte for their care and support.
