Eugene R. Miller
OAKWOOD – Eugene R. Miller, 88, of Oakwood, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at his residence. He was born February 19, 1938, in Saginaw, MI to Raymond and Clara (Beaulieu) Miller, who precede him in death.
He was a graduate of Oakwood High School, and a graduate of Fort Wayne Business College. He was a U. S. Army veteran and was employed for 30 years by Chrysler, 24 years in Van Wert and 6 years in Perrysburg.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Ann (Kohart), Whom he married September 9, 1961. His family includes his children: Gordon (Maria) Miller, Martin (Nancy) Miller, Caroline (Dana) Arend, and Brian (Misti) Miller. His grandchildren, Amanda (Jeff) Ulch, Ashley (Nakul) Kumar, Emily (Preston) Zachrich, Jacob Miller, Simon (Kylee) Miller, Marcy Miller, Estee (Michael) Hemphill, Olivia (Cecil III) Erdmann, Allison (Keating) Zoss, Marcus (Kaylen) Miller and Jaret Miller. His great-grandchildren, Lance Miller, Lexi Ulch, Murphy, Emma and Hudson Miller, Avi and Ari Kumar, Delilah and Priscilla Zachrich, Audra Miller, Cecil Erdmann IV and Lowen Zoss. He is also survived by his sister, Evie Wellman of Defiance.
He is preceded in death by his grandsons, Zachary Arend and Isaac Miller.
Eugene enjoyed Canada fishing trips and watching sports. He was a member of the Oakwood American Legion.
Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood, with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. A visitation will be held from 10 to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Oakwood Library.
