Eugene B. Okuley

LEIPSIC – Eugene B. Okuley, 89, of Leipsic, passed away at 6:10 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.  He was born July 31, 1932, in Holgate to the late Jacob and LaVerne (Provost) Okuley.  On June 26, 1952, he married Irene T. Kleman, she preceded him in death on August 13, 2009.

Eugene is survived by five children: Chris (Pete) Komoroski of Two Rivers, WI., Don (Judy) Okuley of Orange Park, FL., Mike (Lisa) Okuley of Loveland, CO., Laura Sneary and Mary (Jeff) Stall, both of Ottawa; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Gary Okuley of Ottawa, Richard (Karen) Okuley of Glandorf, and Jacob (Deb) Okuley Jr. of Continental; and a sister: Kathy (Bill) Klausing of Ottawa.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Jim (Ruth) Okuley and a sister-in-law, Carol Okuley.

Eugene was a life member of Leipsic Hunting and Fishing Club, NRA as well the Ottawa Eagles.  He was a John Wayne fan.  He had retired from Phillips, Ottawa.

No services will be held at this time.  Burial will take place at a later date.
