Eva Mae Halter

Ottawa -- Eva Mae Halter, 78, of Ottawa, died 3:26 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Rita's Hospice. She was born September 29, 1937 in Lima, OH to the late Jonathon Alvin and Katherine Mae (Aldridge) Halter. She was married to Clarence Leroy Seibert who preceded her in death on May 20, 1996.

She is survived by eight children: Charles Melvin (Elizabeth) Seibert of McCook, TX, Michael Leroy Seibert of Van Wert, Cheryl Marie Pratt of Oakwood, Nancy Jane Mendez of Harrod, Mark Steven (Mary) Seibert of Cloverdale, Ruth (Tim) Couch of Alvada, OH, Eva JoAnne (Chris) Brown of Ottawa, Dawn (Rick) Seabright of Ft. Wayne; 34 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and one step-brother: Dale Davis of Dupont. She was preceded in death by a sister: Elva JoAnne Ferris; a brother: Fred "Bud" Halter; and a step-brother: Gale Davis.

Eva was a homemaker and former member of the Mandale Nazarene. She loved to play musical instruments and sing.

A funeral service will begin 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, with Pastor Lon A. Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Hedges Cemetery, Broughton. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
