Evelyn M. Brown

CONTINENTAL -- Evelyn M. Brown, 85, of Continental died 3:37 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Lima Memorial Health System.  She was born June 6, 1933 in Defiance to the late Benjamin and Goldie (Butler) Blue.  On August 25, 1951 she married Donald V. Brown, who preceded her in death on May 25, 2009.

She is survived by 7 children:  Carroll (Gloria) Brown of Continental, Donald G. (Sylvia) Brown of Defiance, Leo Brown of Lima. Samuel (Diane) Brown of Continental, Randall Brown of  Continental, Tanya K. "Kay" Brown of Continental and Pamela Holland of Lima; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and a brother:  Roger Blue, Frankfort, MI.

She is preceded in death by 4 brothers:  Harold, Richard, Leo and Kenny Blue; and 5 sisters:  Ruth Wilson, Mildred Blasing, Rosie Schilt, Hazel Blue and Gertrude Blue.

Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Continental. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Defiance, American Legion, Continental, AMVETS and Cooties.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
